Ann Tracy resides in the Sonoran Desert in the winter, and in the Land of 10,000 Lakes in the summer. Tracy attended graduate school at the San Francisco Art Institute. Her BFA is from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, with an exchange at the California College of the Arts.
Grants have been received from the Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Foundation (NY); Artists' Fellowship, Inc. (NY); Byron Bradley Foundation (MN); Artists' Charitable Fund (CO), Arizona Commission on the Arts; and Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona. Residencies include Anam Cara Center for Writers and Artists, West Cork, Ireland; Anderson Ranch Art Center (CO); and Rancho Linda Vista artists community (AZ).
Exhibits include Tucson Museum of Art; University of Arizona Museum of Art; University of Arizona Poetry Center; Tucson International Airport; Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art; Modified Arts (Phoenix); Shemer Art Center & Museum (Phoenix); Tempe Public Library; Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (Orange, Calif.); Crussell Fine Arts (Anaheim, Calif.); Spring Arts Tower (Los Angeles); Downtown Palace Theater (Los Angeles); Isabelle Percy Gallery at California College of the the Arts; Western Colorado Center for the Arts; Minneapolis College of Art and Design; Butler Institute of American Art; Cornell Art Museum, and the Carnegie Arts Centre (Kenmare, Ireland).
Tracy's work is included in private and public collections in North America, Europe, Africa and Australia.
